We're Harry and Sam, the founders of Northfold Flooring. We help homeowners across Godalming, Haslemere, Guildford and nearby towns get timber floors that look right, feel solid and last.
From Big Commercial Sites
to Your Front Room
Harry started his wood flooring apprenticeship at 18. He and Sam both went on to work for Harry's dad's company on large commercial jobs, fitting a lot of timber along the way. For Sam, it was his first real timber fitting work.
When Covid shut the offices, they turned their focus to domestic timber flooring and have been busy ever since. They then both worked for a company carrying out high-end residential projects across the UK.
After they both had children, they decided to start something together, closer to their families. That's Northfold: a friendly, independent company specialising in the supply, installation and restoration of timber floors.

We'll work for anyone, but most of our work is for homeowners who want the right people to do the job correctly.
What we specialise in
Supplying and installing solid, engineered, parquet and reclaimed timber, plus restoration: sanding, staining, oiling, lacquering, gap filling and repairs.
How we work
Harry carries out the surveys and meets every client, bringing samples to your home. Sam is in charge of getting the job done on site. You deal with the founders throughout.

Free site visit, then one fixed price for the job. It only changes if you ask for extras.
Clean working
Dust-free sanding with our own extraction machines, and a tidy home at the end of every day.
Done properly
Proper subfloor preparation, damp-proofing and finishing details. No shortcuts that show up six months later.
